The final report of the Royal Commission of Inquiry into state care and faith-based care was released in June 2024, examining the conditions of care in New Zealand from 1950 to 1999. 

We acknowledge the survivors and their whānau who participated in this inquiry, their courage and resilience are commended.

At Open Home Foundation, we firmly believe that no form of abuse is acceptable. We are committed to continuously improving our systems and practices to make care safer for tamariki.
